Head Rigger

PhotanaPalooza

This was a project I took on to help the lighting department at school. I was responsible for all of the rigging in this large scale light show.

It featured: a multiple rig point layout simmalar to arena style rigging, a 20+ chain motor package, and a large half circle truss.

Complications for this sow were finding safe points to hang chain motors from. Multiple points required rope access and I-Beam travrsing to make.

Welder/ Flyman

Guys and Dolls

This show was the Featured musical my second year at UNCSA. It had a very large budget, crew, build/load-in, and show.

I was a welder in the shop for 3 months fabricating different elements for this production. Some of those include: Large 25' steel towers, various large brackets for tracking scenery, and slip stage platforms.

When we started the run of the show my responsibility's changed to one of the three flyman. There were many cues where we had 6+ Linesets running at a time. Because of this we had to install winches to automate different pieces of scenery for smooth transitions.

Rope splicing

Cirque du Soleil

This is a skill I learned how to do with my time at Cirque. i spent many hours perfecting many different types of rope splicing that are now being used in show at "Love".
